Slow Progress

The weather and late shifts has meant that progress has been very slow.

The planter has been cut down and had preservative added plus a bit of tidying up but no more.

I hope to get a bit more done next week before my holiday but then nothing will happen till early in July.

The planter was a bit tall so I cut it down

Ready for treating

Will get a liner, shelf tops and the railway added after my holiday.

Rebuild begins

I am finally getting stuff into the garden instead of pulling it out as the first of the planters, and the base (not the support though) of the shed end return loop, being constructed.

I am using pallets as they are free, After looking at this a bit I have decided to cut them down to just over half height, above the middle cross member.

Hopefully I will get some more done over the Bank Holiday.

The station area is no more

The base of the original station is now just a hole in the ground.

There is a large pile of rubble to get rid of.

Not everything is out but enough to let me get on with the first stage of the garden and railway rebuild.

The original station base has now been removed after much smashing of concrete and swearing by me.

A nice big pile of rubble to be disposed of,

The area behind the rubble will be paved and the new railway on the shed wall at a nice operating height with a return loop on the right above a planter and it will continue along the bottom of the garden on the right,
