A Big Update Part 2 - Bogie Well Wagon

Bogie Well Wagon

This is another Phil Sharples kit and is the biggest one I have purchased to date.
The kit came in a box which I ripped when I opened it!
The kit parts laid out ready for building.
The body and bogies ready for final construction. I got to this stage in a couple of hours,
All ready for paint.
All painted and ready to go.
The kit is typical Phil Sharples, simple but builds into a pleasant little model. The only thing, apart from glue and paint, that I added to it was lead weight as it was very light. It runs well but still needs a load.

A big update part 1 - Summer Coach

I have had a rather busy summer and have not put enough time into updating the blog so here goes a major update.

Summer Coach

This kit was given to me by my daughter for Christmas 2016 and has been mentioned in the February posting.
The coach kit as supplied by Houston Gate
The kit is a 4-wheel open coach that I will mount on 2 bogies instead of using the supplied wheels.
The bogie kits from Cambrian.
The bogies completed and ready to be fitted to the coach with some more modifications.
The coach body ready for mounting on its bogies.
The coach on its bogies and ready for paint.
The paint is on just a roof and seats to add.
Roof and passengers in place and painted. The model is complete.
The model, as usual with Houston Gate Locomotive Works kits, went together brilliantly and runs well. The only problem I had was fitting the bogies but as these are not standard that is not a problem with the kit.
